Penny Norman (Ph.D. Biophysics from U.C. Berkeley) and Ann Einstein (M.A.T. Berkeley School District) have refined this title with input from many hundreds of children. The award winning imaging of Art Huff has made this book an all time favorite. This delightful book and kit combines hours of play with basic science. Nurtures a love for learning and develops an accessibility to science.
Note from the author: When my children were small they tested the experiments that went into this book. We sorted through many, many projects and picked our favorites. It was very difficult, given all there was to choose from. When my children went to college, they both loved Chemistry. I took a lot of chemistry classes, but I never loved it the way my children do. I think this book had a lot to do with their interest in chemistry. My daughter has graduated with honors from Stanford. My son got a 5 on his Chemistry AP exam. More importantly, he has always felt that he could master science. I pass our love and attention to this book onto you and your children. Have fun and never shut your mind to learning.
